Garu is a breach mage from War Eternal.
Mage Overview[]
Garu is the oathsworn protector of Yan Magda, a hulking brute with strange crystalline protrusions jutting from his shoulders and elbows. His memory prior to his time with Yan is lost to him. He is powerful, trained by Yan, though not a natural mage. With Torch he easily focuses any player's breaches from the very beginning of the game, and has the raw power to do up to 18 damage with his special ability.
Ability[]
Activate During Your Main Phase: Discard up to four of your prepped spells. Deal 2 damage plus 4 additional damage for each spell you discarded divided however you choose to the nemesis or any number of minions. |
Garu may spend 5 charges during his main phase to discard up to four of his own prepped spells. Garu may then deal 2 damage + 4 damage per discarded spell split among any number of targets. He may discard no cards, dealing only 2 damage total, or discard a maximum of 4 spells, dealing a total of 18 damage. This damage may be split among the Nemesis and any number of minions, in any combination. Damage applied to each target must be applied all at once (Garu cannot repeatedly deal 1 damage to a minion until it is dead).

Lore[]
"My first day in Gravehold, a child in the hovels asked if I was a monster. Though I laughed, the words cut deep. I see the way they look upon me, with doubt, with horror. In truth, I cannot remember being anything other than this.
I wandered the void, then ended up here. There is no more to my story. My life before is but an echo, a single familiar sound deep in the hollow of my heart. I hear a voice, a child's voice. And under the rasping of my breath, its wordless cries fill me with dread and longing. I can taste the name, but never enough to utter it aloud.
I knelt that day in the hovels, and forced a smile upon my face. 'The world is full of monsters, little one. But not all of them are bad.'" ― Garu
