Mazra is a breach mage from The Ancients expansion.
Mage Overview[]
Mazra's Research Breach |
While Mazra is a breach mage in Gravehold, she is also a brilliant thinker and theorist. Never one to jump immediately into a fight, Mazra is better when allowed the time to strategize a plan with custom spells suited for the job. Like her sister, Razra, Mazra has access to a set of unique cards which she can upgrade into. She begins with two copies of Mazra's Studies, but her special ability allows her to destroy these cards for Mazra's Arc or Mazra's Wisdom. These can then be replaced with the final cards, Mazra's Gift or Mazra's Inferno. Between her many unique cards, Mazra is extremely flexible, able to upgrade towards the particular needs of each game.
Mazra also begins with a unique III Breach, giving Mazra a charge each time a spell is cast from it. Between this constant charge gain and her cheap ability cost (4 charges), Mazra will be able to upgrade her starter cards easily. Also note that Mazra begins the game with no Sparks.
Ability[]
You may spend 4 charges during your main phase to resolve one of the following:
- Destroy one of Mazra's unique cards from you hand. Gain one card from Mazra's personal upgrade deck that costs 3 more than the destroyed card, placing the gained card directly into you hand.
OR
- Search your discard pile for Mazra's unique cards, placing all that you find directly into your hand.
Setup[]
Set aside the following cards to create Mazra's personal upgrade deck. These cards may only be gained by Mazra by activating her ability.

Lore[]
"She'll probably deny it if you ask her, but I think Mazra might love books more than she loves me. She was born like two hours after me and she must have spent the entirety of that time in the womb growing her crazy huge brain. I'm no idiot, but Mazra was six when she gave Brama a ten-page petition to gain access to the Gravehold archives room. At just eight years old, she translated an ancient tome of breach magic and memorized spells no one had ever heard of. She was ten when she passed her ordeal and became the youngest breach mage ever. When I asked for toys she asked for textbooks. She used to follow Brama around and sneak into council meetings the way normal kids sneak out of school. We were only five years old when Mazra told me she was gonna be the next head of the council of elders. If it was any other kid I'd call them ridiculous, but if there's anyone who I trust to run Gravehold, it's my freak of a little sister." ― Razra
