Origins is the first expansion of Aeon's End: Past and Future, and requires a standalone set to play with (just Past and Future is not enough as it is not a standalone set). Its retail release was on May 15th 2024. The box contains 4 sets of supply cards, 1 playable mage, and 1 nemesis to fight. Some of these supply cards make use of the new Swap mechanic. The mage in this set has a unique Breach called the Phoenix Breach. This breach only uses a special deck of cards called the Phoenix Deck. The Phoenix Deck also makes use of the Swap, Knowledge 
, and Aether token mechanics.
