Thraxir is a breach mage from Outcasts.
Mage Overview[]
Thraxir was once a very powerful mage from Old Gravehold, holding the position of Breach Commander as he led the other mages into battle. But he was killed by Rageborne, or so many thought. It is unknown how, but some part of Thraxir lives on and returned to Gravehold, but as a monster, the Knight of Shackles. Thraxir eventually regained control of himself to fight the Nameless again, but Old Gravehold was long gone.
All four of Thraxir's breaches are unique, and all breaches start closed and placed with the most expensive focus position forward. Each breach gives a different bonus when opened, although none of the breaches grant a constant on-cast effect. Thraxir's starter card, Nameless Siphon
, allows him to focus breaches quickly if allies are willing to discard cards. Thraxir's special ability has him casting up to three spells, his own or allies'. These spells gain additional damage if Thraxir has 3 or 4 of his breaches open.

Ability[]
| Activate During Your Main Phase: Cast up to three spells prepped by any players. If you have three opened breaches, those spells deal 1 additional damage. If you have four opened breaches, you may cast up to four spells and those spells deal 2 additional damage instead. |
You may spend 5 charges during your main phase to resolve the following:
- Cast up to three spells prepped by any players. The spells may be your own, or split in any combination between players.
- If you have three opened breaches, those spells deal 1 additional damage each.
- If you have four opened breaches, you may cast up to four spells total, and those spells deal 2 additional damage each instead.
When casting another player's spell, you act as the 'you' referred to on that spell, not the owner of the spell. The spell is discarded as normal to the owner's discard pile.

Lore[]
"It's been hard to get Thraxir's story from him, he recalls details sporadically and much of his human life is buried beneath years and years of bloodshed. It must be traumatic, coming back to yourself after spending so long as a mindless monster. The memory of hurting the people you once cared about... it can be easier to live without. This, at least, I understand intimately. Void essence is powerful, but it can drive you past the point of sanity. I'm ashamed to admit that I was conscious of what I was doing when I turned on my fellow mages and attacked them. It would be easier for me if I could hide in the fog of madness. I thought my cause was righteous enough, my goals pure enough that any action could be excused. Thraxir and I are both too far gone to ever truly belong in New Gravehold again. But perhaps together we can rediscover what it means to be human." ― Xaxos
