The turn order deck is a stack of cards that determines the order that players and the nemesis take turns. The turn order deck is constructed at the start of a game of Aeon's End, and the number of players determines the specific cards.
Turn Order Deck Construction[]
The following table displays what to include in the turn order deck based on the number of players.

Rules[]
General[]
- Locate the turn order cards and select the necessary ones based on the table above. Shuffle and place facedown on the table. This is the turn order deck.
- At the start of each turn, flip the top card of the turn order deck over into a discard pile of turn order cards.
- The revealed player or nemesis now takes their turn.
- When the turn order deck is empty and a new card must be drawn or revealed, shuffle the discard pile to form a new turn order deck and draw the top card.
- Do not shuffle the discard pile until you need to draw or reveal a new card; some cards depend on this order being carried out properly. See below for examples of play for edge cases.
The Wild Card[]
- When the wild turn order card is flipped up, the players may choose which player it refers to.
- If at the start of a turn, the players choose which player will take a turn. The players may choose a different player the next time the wild player card is revealed.
- If the wild turn order card is revealed for a card effect, the players may choose which player the turn order card represents, and so who will be impacted by the effect.
Example Edge Cases[]
Example 1:
The last turn order card is flipped over leaving the turn order deck empty. The card flipped over is a nemesis turn order card. The nemesis takes its turn and plays Unrelenting Ire; at least two nemesis turn order cards are in the discard pile, so the nemesis resolves the second portion of the attack. The nemesis' turn is now over and it is time to draw a new turn order card, so a player shuffles the cards and places them facedown as the turn order deck, drawing the top card.
Example 2:
The last turn order card is flipped over leaving the turn order deck empty. The card flipped over is a player turn order card, for the mage Xaxos. As part of Xaxos' turn, he casts Flare, which reveals the top card of the turn order deck. The turn order deck is empty (but a card must be revealed) and so the turn order is shuffled (including Xaxos' turn order card) and placed facedown so that Xaxos may now reveal the top card. In this scenario it is possible for Xaxos to reveal his own turn order card.
Example 3:
The last turn order card is flipped over leaving the turn order deck empty. The card flipped over is a player turn order card. That player must first play Nothingness from their hand, as per Crooked Mask's rules for Corruption. The player chooses a card from the discard pile and "shuffles" it into the turn order deck; this amounts to choosing the desired turn order card and placing it facedown, guaranteeing that it will be drawn next turn.
